Housed in the historic Shambles building, award-winning Diss Museum provides visitors with a variety of changing displays on local history and prehistory. Permanent features including carousel display, A Mere 10,000 Years, about the town's 6-acre lake and the Diss rectory dolls house. Diss Museum won a Gulbenkian award in 1994 and is registered with the Museums and Galleries Commission.
